Rachael Stowe is the Regional Education and Workforce Partnerships Coordinator for the University of Pittsburgh School of Education. I
n this role, she facilitates cross-sector partnerships to align education and training programs with regional labor market needs, serves as a liaison between academic institutions and industry to co-design career pathways and experiential learning, and coordinates meetings and communications with colleges and universities.
Rachael is passionate about establishing and sustaining equity-centered community engagement. She believes that every college and university has a responsibility to leverage its resources and capacity to respond meaningfully to community needs, centering community voices and priorities at the core of its mission. She has a particular interest in the role community engagement can play in rural revitalization and workforce development.
Before joining the team, Rachael worked as a Program Assistant at the Partnership for Student Success, supporting partnership-building efforts between colleges and universities, nonprofits, and school districts nationwide, as a Graduate Assistant for the Rural and Community-Based Education Initiative in the School of Education, developing a collective across Southwestern Pennsylvania to support rural communities, and as a Special Education teacher in Atlanta Public Schools, building critical literacy, numeracy and life skills in K-5 students.
Rachael is a two-time graduate of the School of Education, receiving her B.S. in Applied Developmental Psychology and her M.A. in Education Policy. During her academic career, she was recognized as the recipient of the 2021 Dean’s Distinguished Undergraduate Award and the 2025 Distinguished Student Leadership Award and was named a Browne Leadership Fellow from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work.
